Saturdays start May 1st- End of September 9am-1pm
The first Johnson County Farmers Market began May, 2009 and was organized as non-profit to aid in strengthening and sustaining the local agricultural and food economy in Johnson County. Here one can find fresh local produce, local handmade crafts, homemade breads, jams & jellies. The first Saturday of each month the market will host a mini free festival throughout the season.
There’s a stage set for anyone who has interest in playing music or showcasing other local entertainment. The market is a provider of education about sustainable agriculture through their many workshops, tours & events. If your interesting is bringing you farm base goods, crafts, music etc. or just want to be a consumer of the locally grown goods the stop by for a visit or contact Robert Back for further details and information.
Farmers Market is located at 110 Court Street behind the Johnson County Courthouse, in beautiful Downtown Mountain City, TN.

Farmers Market Mission Statement
The purpose of the Johnson County Farmers Market is to strengthen a Sustainable Local Agriculture and Food Economy. We accomplish this by providing education, engaging in community and economic development, and promoting the availability and benefits of local agriculture and serving and preparing local foods.
The JCFM is a nonprofit schedule(3)c entity and relies on community donations and grants to operate. Become a “Market Friend” and help grow our market. We also rely on volunteers to help with market operations.
For your convenience we accept MC, Visa and Debit Cards. Your SNAP Benefits are also accepted at the market. Currently, with a grant from “Wholesome Wave” we are able to DOUBLE YOUR SNAP BENEFITS for the first $10.00 of purchase.
We are always accepting new vendors. Take a look at our “vendor information” section for our rules and regulations and a vendor application. You can bring your application and fee with you on the first day you want to sell. For more information call 423-707-7093 or email [email protected].
Come strengthen the local agriculture and food economy with us!
